If you are looking for a truck diesel fuel tank you should ask a few important questions before you pull out your wallet. Diesel tanks for sale on the Internet all look very similar on your screen but manufacturers can cut corners in ways you will never know.
Steel fuel tanks are normally made of thick, quality steel. One way to shave costs at your expense is to use thinner materials. Every steel fuel tank we build is with metal thickness equal to or greater than that used by the original manufacturer. Every tank you buy from us will be as good as or better than the original.
We’ve been building fuel and hydraulic tanks since 1995 and we know quality goes beyond using thick steel. It requires perfect welds, proper coating and special techniques to prep each truck diesel fuel tank prior to powder coating. We powder coat our tanks for longer life. Our powder coating process has been refined over the years and our experts know how to prep steel tanks and apply the powder so it goes on and stays on.
What Do You Do If It Doesn’t Fit?
An important consideration when replacing aluminum or steel fuel tanks is the fit. Everything else could be perfect but if the fit isn’t perfect you’ll be paying your mechanic overtime to fuss with it. We’ve heard horror stories about fuel tanks with the filler neck at the wrong end or ports that don’t line up.
