Manufacturers can cut corners in ways you won’t know if you don’t know what to look for. When they build a fuel tank Freightliner uses thick metal. Some manufacturers cut costs by building them with thinner, cheaper steel. We build every Freightliner fuel tank with metal thickness that is equal to or greater than that used by Freightliner so it will last a long time.
When it gets to your door it will arrive with perfect welds that form an air tight seal. We can say this with confidence because we pressure test every tank we build. Not all fuel tank manufacturers do this. Most of them test random samples to save time. At Propower we believe your satisfaction is worth the time it takes to test each one. For longer life we powder coat our tanks. Our powder coating process has been refined over the years and our experts know how to prep steel tanks and apply the powder so it goes on and stays on.
