Fuel tank manufacturers will cut corners in ways you won’t know until it’s been on your truck for quite a while. Fuel tanks are usually made of thick steel but some manufacturers will cut costs by using thinner metal. We build every fuel tank for International 4700 trucks with metal thickness that is equal to or greater than that used by International so it’ll last a long time.
It will arrive with perfect welds that form an air tight seal. How do we know this? It’s because we pressure test each and every tank we build. Our powder coating process has been refined over the years and our experts know how to prep steel tanks and apply the powder so it goes on and stays on.
