Fuel tanks are generally made of pretty thick steel but some manufacturers will use thinner metal to cut costs. Looks the same but fails early. Every fuel tank for International 4900 that we build has metal thickness that is equal to or greater than that used by International. It will last a long time. It will also show up at your door with perfect welds that form an air tight seal. We know this because we pressure test every tank we build. Not all manufacturers do this. At best, most will only test random samples to save time. At Propower we believe it’s worth spending a little extra time to make sure you are satisfied with our products. For longer life we powder coat our tanks. Our powder coating process has been refined over the years and our experts know how to prep steel tanks and apply the powder so it goes on and stays on.
