How To Evaluate Stainless Steel Tank Manufacturers

Stainless steel fabrication must be tested to meet standards – especially when it comes to liquid carrying vessels.  Often stainless steel fabricators lack effective quality control practices.  They use Statistical Process Control to measure quality.  SPC is a process of testing samples from the production run and calculating the probability of failures to stay within “acceptable” limits.  At Propower our “acceptable limit” is no failures at all.  Stainless steel tanks must be assembled with perfect welds or they are sure to leak.  The only way to ensure integrity is by leak testing each tank instead of checking samples.  We might be one of the few remaining stainless steel fabricators in the industry to do so.  It takes more time and we believe it’s time well spent.
